    Clone Magnifier for Eotech 516

    Hi all;

    Been searching for a clone magnifier to work with my Eotech 516. Because the 516 has a 7mm riser built in, it seems most clones will not work with it. Any ideas? I love the magnifiers that are on a mount that flips to the side. Thanks for any help you may have.

        Airsoft Aimpoint magnifier clone on LaRue LT649 tall mount will align correctly.

          I have this same question. I bought an aimpoint clone magnifier with the FTS mount. Will this work with any of the eotechs?

          I've been reading that the 516 has the 7mm mount for co-witness....wouldnt this add height so it wouldnt match up correctly?

          Confused....

            Which AimPoint clone magnifier and FTS mount do you have? If you're using the magnifier that looks like the authentic AP Magnifier and are using the LaRue LT649-T mount, it will align correctly with the EOTech 516/517 or any of the other raised-height EOTechs.

                Hmm.

                The magnifier in this thread being sold by Jeffu is the one I (will soon) have:

                Is that the Larue FTS clone mount? I dont see any markings.

                  For sure, that's the AimPoint magnifier clone but the mount is unknown. You can get by with a clone magnifier but do not go cheap on a mount. Get the real deal LaRue LT649T mount. Those clone mounts are crap.

                    I'll probably test it out first. But for arguments sake, lets say I end up getting the real Larue mount. That means this will only work with the eotech models with the 7mm risers?

                    One more question: $150 for a mount is fairly steep (at least for me). Would something like this work instead?

                      The LaRue LT649T mount works with raised-height models. The LaRue LT649S mount works with non-raised-height models.

                      I don't know about your linked mount but that's not an AP magnifier mount. And that looks like an airsoft site (An EOTech for $150?)
