Leupold M3 - Anyone using one?

I have an opportunity to get an older M3 model Leupold with the .308 and .300 win turrets for 600 - is it worth it? This will be going on an 18" 308 AR btw.

Depending on how old, its a good buy. The older ones were much better than current loopy fodder.

I don't know how old but I was told it is 10+ years old. It's not a Mk4 one like the newer ones. It has some mounting marks but nothing serious and the glass and everything looked good. I have the serial number so I'll be able to find out for sure.

Scope looks fine, no big mounting marks or scratches that I could find.

            Show pics....

            Also,

            1) what reticle does it have? mil-dots? round ones or oval ones?

            2) 30mm tube? or 1"?

            3) what's the magnification range? 3-9? 3.5-10? 4-12?

Lastly, call Leupold with the serial number, they will be able to tell you the approx manuf date, and its exact model.... then we can help you more...

In general, if you get 30mm tube and mil-dot..... that would be a premium line of Leupold scope, and $600 is a good deal...
