Which Aimpoint To Use?

So, everyone raves about the Aimpoint optics. I went to their website and saw that there were SO many variations of the sight:

CompM4S
CompC3
CompM3
CompML3
CompM3
ComPM2-M68CCO
CompML2

I am a little overwhelmed. I would be mounting it on either a AR M4 or maybe a Keltec Su-16 and would use it for CQB and/or targets from 10-50 yards.

Which one would be best?

None of those...

Get the Micro T1 (or H1). And get the Larue mount and be done with.

Go with the T1, or for a few extra bucks you could get the Comp M4. I like the T1 because it's so damn small, but if you mean srs bsns I'd get the M4.

T-1 and LaRue mount. It is a featherweight and very rugged.

I really like the H-1 and T-1. Some shooters do not like the smaller tube so they go with the full size. For the Full size units I Like the M4s and the M3's.

Keltec Su-16 and CQB should not be used in the same sentence.

If you really mean CQB, then get the model that is most effective for your objective. There really isn't that much difference with all of the models that you mention. The biggest differences are NV capability, battery life and mounting. There is no mounting difference between the M2 and 3, the M4 has the picattiny mount built in.

If your definition of CQB is range day on Sunday dressed in you new set of tacticool wear, then get the cheapest on that put the bullet where you are aiming at 10-15 yards. Of your list, that would be the ML2.

I heard it has more metal grabbing the rail and you don’t need a tool to adjust it from one gun to another. Also you can mount a mini Acog latter down the road if you want without having to buy another mount.

I vote for the H-1 like others have already said.

except i like my Daniel Defense mount. it doesnt have QD capabilities, but I didnt need it. Its SUPER light.

The H1/T1 is the best if you want super small and super light at only 4oz. It only has a 4MOA dot.

The M3/ML3 is the sweet spot if you want to save a few bucks but still get good features. Yes it's 4oz heavier than the T1 but if that bothers you, go to the gym. It has the same battery life as the T1 (5 years continuously powered on) and comes with either a 2MOA or 4MOA dot.

The M2/ML2 has 1 year battery life and only comes with a 4MOA dot.
