    Help choosing an EOTech

Hi all, after shooting my buddy's EOTech yesterday, I've decided that's what I want (I don't remember his model, it was an N-battery) for my M4-gery. I've shot Aimpoints and ACOGs before, the relief of those bother me the most (among other things). There's too many EOTech models I have no idea where to start. What are the popular ones? Here's what I'm looking for:

    1) Military adaptability: Just got back from a deployment and will likely go again, so it would be nice to have something I can take with me.

    2) Size: Are N-batteries considerably more expensive/hard to find than AA? Compactness is obviously a plus.

    3) Magnification: Do magnifying sights have considerable relief? Magnification is a plus, but not if it has a deep relief.

That's all I can really thing of for now. What about Dr Optics? What do you guys think of them compared to EOTech? Thanks for any suggestions!

I just bought my Son a Eotech 557.AR223 model. Look it up! He is deployed over in Iraq and hates his M68. He says its a p.o.s and usually uses his fixed sights for the long shots anyways. The Eotech 557 is NVG compatible, it takes a AA bat., it has brightness buttons on the left side so you can use them with NVG gear attached, it has no eye relief so you can get up on target quickly, you can co witness with your iron sights through the optic, and its got a bullet drop compensator dots out to I think 600 mtrs! And if thats not enough, you can add a 4x magnifier for those way out there targets. Check it out on the Eotech website and look for a store that gives military discounts!
