Eotech 3x magnifier

Just got an eotech 517 on my ar. After spending 400 dollars on it I really love it but don't want to spend hundreds on a nice long range scope. Are the 3x and 4x mags really worth the money for long range. If anyone has pics of the difference or suggestions it would be much appreciated.

whats long range to you. I think 4x max is about 100 yards and gives roughly a 32in view sight. But I am no expert and I am sure you will get a few answering.

The 4x models are discontinued so you'll have to find a used one. The clone magnifiers work fine but you'll give up some eye relief vs. the real deal.

long range to me is 300yards+. I shoot good groups up to 200 and hitting targets past that isnt a big deal but doing it accurately is another story. And there are some optic sites that still have new 4x :P

Then you should get a good price on them (~$600).
