6.8 AR Scope Help

I am currently building a new AR in 6.8 and I'm looking ahead to my scope.

This will mostly be used for bench & target shooting, though I am going to Texas and maybe back to Montana next winter for some deer hunting.

2 scopes I've hears good things about:

Weaver 2.5-10x50mm Weaver Classic Extreme Riflescope & the Nikon Monarch 2.5-10x56mm.

Now, I'd of course like a Nightforce NXS in the same magnification, but I think it's overkill for what I need.

I'm sure most of what I will be shooting will be at 300 yards at the long end.

I'd appreciate your comments on either scope or if you have a particular scope in similar magnification that you are in love with, let me know.
