Scope for AR-15 Target Rifle

Looking for a scope for a 24" bull-barreled AR platform. What would you suggest. Also a mount for the scope for a rail. This is a flat-top AR, btw.

I am leaning toward a Nightforce or Leupold in a variable power.

don't have one of those but i just picked up a bushnell 3200 5-15x40 tactical, great clarity and great reviews. seems many long range shooters start with these, great warranty, great workmanship, made in japan

btw this would be for like a budget, around $300 or so
depends on how much you wanna spend, i know bushnell 4200s are a step up from this and also hear great things from them
