Saiga mounts?

I am looking to mount a 1x red dot sight on my saiga 7.62x39 and was looking for recommendations. What's most important is to be able to continue to use the iron sights if possible. I read that the LaRue Iron Dot is great, but I cannot find them in stock anywhere???

Other than that, I found the Scout Scope mounts that include a rear sight on the mount. Any word on these?

Lastly, is there a good alternative to an elevated mount that would allow me to use the iron sights?

I would like to avoid and tapping/drilling if possible. Thanks!

A few options that i can think of. First cheaper than dirt sells an aftermarket dust cover with a pictanny rail but the rail is raised so you can see through it and use iron sights it looks like this.

It is out of stock currently but I actually have one that I'm looking to sell. I had to modify it slightly to fit my saiga .223 so the modification may have been needed for yours too. Also they make the side mounts that are high enough to hold optics but also allows use of iron sights.

There was just a group buy for these in the commercial sales section. I purchased one, but it hasnt arrived yet. Supposed to be awesome though. Im pretty sure there's some other threads around here pertaining to them.

Ultimak gas tube replacement is my pick. Use the irons right through an Aimpoint (preferably an H-1). Although if you are running the stock Saiga handguards you'll have to notch them to fit.
