    Trijicon Reflex Polarizing Filter

I have a Trijicon Reflex with the polarizing filter on it.

The filter can be turned to increase/decrease the darkness of the filter. However, it is extremely easy to turn, so much so that just bumping the rifle can cause it to move. Every time I fire a shot, the recoil causes the filter to turn, and change the darkness level. It's very irritating.

Do others have this problem? Do I have a defective filter?

fix1 is using a piece of innertube over the outside so that it provides more friction and is harder to turn

fix2 is to pop out the polarized lense and use an opaque lenscap creating two settings, open, and closed (occluded eye gunsight)
If it was a snake, it would have bit me.

Yeah. I was thinking that, or just a piece of electrical tape. It all just seems rather hokey.

some people have also used a piece of inner tube to enocpass the whole front of the sight and they slip in a tiny glowstick to augment the tritium so that you can be in the shade and aim into a bright area without losing your reticle to washout.
