    Decent scope under $100? (Rem. 721 .30-06)

Hey guys I'm looking for a new scope to put on my old Remington model 721 in .30-06. Because I'm currently on a pretty tight budget I'm looking for something in the under $100 range. I know its a pretty low budget for a scope but I don't need anything fancy, just something decent that will work for hunting. Thanks alot for all of your suggestions I really appreciate the help.

"Decent scope for under $100" = definition of an oxymoron.

IMO Vortex Optics in general seem to be a pretty good value more the money. They have their economy Crossfire line which can be found for ~$100 but are better than other $100 scopes. And they have a no BS warranty. I've spoken with them and they're good people.

I've got a Bushnell Trophy 3 x 9 that has been good to me. It runs about $100.

Shotgun News ran an article this year reviewing inexpensive scopes. I don't remember the issue but with a bit of searching you should be able to find it. It was a good detailed article.

I've had good luck with Barska scopes. And before the peanut gallery chimes in about how bad they are, try them before you speak. I've had three and each was very good for the money I paid.

Don't go into buying an inexpensive scope expecting Leupold quality and you'll find that there are a lot of decent choices out there.

          I have a Barska Huntmaster 3-12x50mm with an illuminated 30/30 reticle. I've had it on a .223, a .308 and a 30-30 and it's holds zero beautifully.

I picked it up from Midway for $70. Can't beat it for the money.

If you want it, I'll sell it for $50. It comes with bikini covers.

          PM me if you're interested.

Walmart carries some Bushnell scopes for under $100.. Not sure how good they are, but they are a brand name at least.

ive heard alot of good things about intensity scopes so i picked one up for a 17 hmr. they have them at sportsmans guide for around $60. rumer is that thet are rebadged weaver 44/40, both weaver and intensity are made by atk. my 4-12x44 is very clear but being mounted on a rimfire i cant comment on the recoil aspect

                    You can thank me later,

By far the best scope for the money, also comes with the industry's best warranty.

+1 on Federal intensity, I run one on my Marlin 30-06, good glass and holds zero well. Sportsman guide is having a sale on them
