    Eyeclops night vision

I was wondering if somebody had experience using this device in context of shooting? I understand it's limitations - short range, high battery requirements - but it strikes me that for it's cost it's extremely competitive in utility to a rifle or handgun mounted light.

    I second the question.

I have read good reviews of the product and apparently it does a darn good job, obviously within its limitations. I have wondered about night shooting with it. Maybe I just need to go buy one and find out.
A CNN reporter, while interviewing a Marine sniper, asked, "What do you feel when you shoot a terrorist?"

    "Recoil."

Well, given that there were no volunteers I bit the bullet and ordered it myself. Going shooting next weekend, so stay tuned for a review.

Received it in the mail yesterday...some thoughts:
        - The nightvision is decent quality, though the field of view is obviously small
        - Some of the other posts I've seen recommended to use it with the 2nd (non-NV) eye port open, to get broader field of view, however I found that I could not focus at once with both eyes - I was either seeing the NV display or the dark room. This may be an artifact of my vision, I have very different eye sight in both eyes.

Next week, I'll test how it impacts shooting.

Both of these points are things that I have read on personal review of this product before, I don't think it's you or your eyes. Given the monocular aspect, trying to open both ports can also make you dizzy/nauseous, so I have heard.

Can't wait to hear how ur night shoot goes. <----NVG

Unfortunately I don't have anything to report - when I took it out to the desert, it turns out it drained the batteries.
