Call www.SWFA.com or www.4scopes.com. Tell them what kind of rifle you have and they will get you the right mount(s) and rings.

Nearly every manufacturer of bases and rings has one that fits the Remington 700 action.

Many manufacturers offer bases with differing amounts of tilt to accommodate longer ranges where the adjustment in your riflescope may not be enough to zero (commonly seen is the 20moa and 10moa).

If you're on a budget EGW Aluminum bases work well. Higher up are the Seekins aluminum bases and the Badger Steel bases.

For the rings, you need to decide which type of base you want to use. The different mounting designs utilizes their own type of rings (picatinny and weaver rails, dovetails, etc) The bases above all use picatinny rings.

Again, if you're on a budget Burris XTR rings (aluminum) work well for a decent price. I'm currently using a set of Seekins (aluminum) rings and its a step above anything else I've used. If you prefer steel rings you could look into Leupold Mk.4 and Badger rings which all have great repuatations.

One thing to note is that all ring manufacturers (as far as I know) use their own standards to denote ring height but you can usually find this information on their respective websites and you can either give them a call or pull out a ruler to find the one that fits your scope/base combination the best.

I purchased my set of rings from www.libertyoptics.com. After several emails Scott helped me find a set of rings to fit my riflescope.
