BDC reticle or elevation knob?

I was almost dead set on grabbing a Leupold Mark AR 3-9x with duplex reticle for my coyote AR, but I just went to Sportsman's Warehouse to look through a few scopes and I liked the BDC reticle on the Burris Fullfield II (I think it was the ballistic plex). It was nice and simple. You could work up a load, figure out what your range is for each drop mark and it could serve you pretty well.

Anyway, for you experienced coyote hunters, which do you prefer, BDC reticle or elevation knob? I can see the merits of both really.

Also, how does the Fullfield II compare in quality to the Leupold Mark AR? I like the Burris, though the magnification adjustment was stiff and it was the entire rear bell, which would be lame for flip-open caps. How does glass quality compare? I'm about to spend a lot more than I've ever spent on a scope and I don't want to waste my money.

If anyone has another scope suggestion for under $300, fire away. This is primarily a coyote calling rifle, all other things come second.

Mildot reticle or equivalent and adjustable target turrets.

My coyote AR has a Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14 with a mildot.

That's a great looking scope for the money. Any complaints?

The only complaint I have is that its not first focal plane and that it only has 50 moa internal adjustment. For the price and quality of the glass, those aren't really valid complaints.

What are the target knobs like? Is that the model that comes with two sets? How would you compare the glass to a Burris Fullfield II? Sorry, that's just the most recent scope I've looked through, probably the best actually.

The nikon glass is pretty good...and I'm kind of a glass snob after having my S&B, Leicas, etc. Its REALLY good glass for the money. The knobs have covers on them (which is good for hunting) but they are adjustable and can be zeroed. They are not huge target knobs like you would find on most tactical scopes.

In that price and magnification range, I would be looking at a Nikon Buckmasters 4-14 with side focus and a mil-dot reticle.
Then figure out what your mil holdovers are and draw a picture on a piece of tape on your stock.

Personally, I would never go with a scope that only has a cross-hair... at a minimum.... mil-dots...

Yup, I bought the Nikon with Mil Dot reticle.
