What are the major benefits between the Bushnell Elite Series first hand report wise 3200 vs 4200 vs 6500? better?

I have a 3200, 3X9X40 and it was not acceptable on my deer rifle, just not bright enough or clear enough for the Grey Forrest when hunting. It works phenomenal on my 10/22T. Replaced it with a Nikon Buckmaster 4-14X40 Milldot which I highly recommend for the money is very nice.

P.S. the rain cote sucks in the field when it is raining dosent really help much.

4200 definitely has much better glass than the 3200. Can't tell the difference in glass quality between the 6500/4200 at 200yds.
6500 if you want a 30mm tube, slightly wider adjustment range and higher magnification on most of the models.

I prefer the 4200 over the 6500 because of 426242P model that Bushnell offers. And until Burris offers posi-align rings in 30mm, I'm happy with 1 inch tubes.

In my experience, the 4200 series is brighter than the 3200. Am looking to replace the 3200 on my .30-06 w/ a 4200....

And from what I can tell from browsing opticstalk it seems like the 4200 and 6500 use the same glass - though I have no concrete evidence. I own the 6500 4.5-30 and it's a great scope. The glass compares well to my friend's mk4 and the overall finish of the scope tube and turrets is impeccable. The scope has not lost zero after ~500 rounds of .308 and after being turned to both ends of the adjustment range. The turret clicks are solid and quiet, without much play in between clicks.

My only complaints are that the scope gets noticeably dimmer at 25-30x magnification, though I don't know how this compares to other scopes, and the limited 50 moa elevation adjustment.

I own a 4200 8-32. Have it on my AR varmit. No complaints. Very bright and hold ZERO.

the 4200's are a great value. they are nice scopes for the money paid.

the 6500's are good, but not great. they get a bit fuzzy when at full power. the large bells take in tons of light.

either of these scopes are a purchase you wont regret.

oh and the resale value is solid just in case your not happy

I believe the glass in the 4200 is better than in the 6500. Not only from looking through them but from Bushnell's own copy.

I have a new 4.5-30x50 here, new in the box, I'll make someone a screaming deal on. It's got capped turrets.
