Mini-14 scope recommendation

I need a recommendation for a scope for a mini-14.

What will you use the rifle for? Primarily.

I have the mini 14 target. I bought a weaver grand slam scope on clearance for it. The scope is 6-20x by 40mm. I didn't like using 3-9x scopes in the past because it was hard for me to see the exact center of my targets at 100 yards. With this scope I know when I am on target. The 6x magnification is not too much on the low end for me, although I questioned that before I purchased the scope. The adjustable focus on this scope works well, but does take a little effort to turn.

Overall, I am very happy with this scope for fun target shooting at 25-150 yard range. I can see a huge difference in the quality between the $50 simmons scope on my 10/22 and the nearly $500 retail price on the weaver that I bought.

Luepold is supposed to be the cadillac of scopes, but I have yet to try one. They also seem to cost nearly twice the price of my scope for something similar. Now your use of the rifle may require something totally different, so some details would help people make better sugestions.

Get A Nikkon Prostaff it has BDC (Bullet Drop Comp) Very clear glass and a great scope for the money.. about $129. shipped on sale!
