    Burris scope warranty experience

Does anyone have experience with the Burris scope warranty's? I have one on my 308 XP100 that has come apart internally. It is a 2-7 EER scope that I have not been able to get totally sighted. The windage would not move...in any direction. So I was holding 4" to the right at the range and getting decent groups.....then the internals came apart. I did not buy this scope new....it came on the gun. The web site for the warranty is asking for my purchase receipt.....Leupold (my normal brand) doesn't care. They just fix them.

I actually have a warranty claim with them right now. I emailed them and they told me to send in my scope mount. The wierd thing is that there is no RMA number or anything. The guy just said to send it in. That's over a week ago and no emails or replies when I tried to contact him. I got in contact with another lady and I asked her if they got my package or not. She said that she remembers my package coming in and that she has seen it in the office somewhere. She went to look for it but couldn't find it. She told me to call back when the guy that is handling my case is back....that's about as far as I got. I have since emailed him numerous times with my replies...but he was on top of his game when I initially got in contact with him.

Not sure of the effect on warranties, but Burris became part of the Beretta consotium a few years back. Burris used to be great with repairs, as was Redfield, Weaver, and Leupold.

If you guys have issues with scope repair that is not covered by a warranty these guys are the ones to call:

ABO USA Inc (305-859-2010) and Iron Sight Inc (918-445-2001).

They both have websites http://www.ironsightinc.com/ and http://www.abousainc.com

Please note that I am not affiliated with these companies, I just know them because I had to send in my redfield scope for repair.

Just an update. I got an email back from them and they said that they will be shipping out my replacement mount today. So it's been exactly week from me sending it to them and them sending a new one back. Not too bad considering when I called them, they told me that they did not have the mount that I need in stock right now but will be getting it this week. I have yet to receive it back yet but they told me that it should be shipped.
