    Target Turrets?

I am getting a Tikka T3 Stainless Lite in 30-06. This will be primarily for hunting. I was looking for a scope and I think I'm going to get the Bushnell Elite 3200 5-15x40mm.

Are the target turrets really much advantage for mid to long range hunting?
I am not to familiar with them but I assume you have a set zero and adjust from there, but it's easy to return to the zero. Is that correct? Any input you have on this style scope would be great. Thanks

Target turrets are a must have on my target rifles but for hunting I use a 200 yard zero and then limit my shots to 300 yards. Game animals don't stand still long enough for me to range them and then adjust turrets for windage and elevation.

I like the semi-target turrets on the Bushnells. I can easily adjust them with gloves on, and when not in use, put the caps over them.

        Hunting guns should have caps.
Target guns should have target knobs.

You don't want to accidentally twist a knob in the field.
Caps make you remove the cap if you need to make an adjustment.
This is a GOOD thing in the field.
