See-Thru Ring Mount and Scope recommendation for Ruger 10/22?

walmart actually sells some weaver rings for under $10 which are see through and specificly for 22 rifles

Thanks. I was also looking at this see-thru ring mount at Midwayusa. It seems have a nice see-thru opening area.

I can also understand if we mount a large scope on it, the front of the scope might block the see-thru opening and affect its usefulness. Thus, a smaller scope might need to pair with this see-thru mount? Now I can understand some of the reasons that why the see-thru mounts are not as popular...?
