Need an answer on a Remy 700 and Weatherby scope base

Can anyone tell me if a scope base for a Remington 700 would also fit on a Weatherby Vanguard action if they were both 308's ? It's tough finding a one piece scope base or for that matter anything aftermarket for a Vanguard

Generally, YES

A 2-pc M700 base will work, but not a 1-pc. A 1-pc base is not interchangeable b/c the 1500 (Vanguard) action is longer.

If you want a 1-pc, Farrell makes one. EGW used to, but I can't find those anywhere.
