Sight is only two months old, 5 trip to the range. After a few shoots on a Saiga 7.62x39 it goes out, disappears completely and returns on its own after another shot. Anyone had similar situation and how they remedy the problem?

Try and ship it back and have them fix it under warranty. Sounds broken to me.sigpicLord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

Thanks Blue, I thought so too.Comment

The power going out suddenly and coming back on is most always a battery connection issue. Take the battery cap off and bend or stretch springs out a little or use a little metal piece.

I dont think I'll buy another Bushnell product ever again. I called Bushnell about the problem, waited on the phone for 23mins before CSR got on the line. I explain the problem to him, he asked if I tried changing the battery to which I answer "Yes" I've already tried that. He proceeds to give my their repair address and ask me to send in the unit, get this it has a 4-8 weeks turn around. I asked dont I get a RMA or something just in case if the package gets losted in the mail and he answered "No" we only issue repair tracking number after we received the unit for repair, we suggest you insure the package. And here Im thinking, wow! I just bought this RDS from Midway in June, its only been to the range 3-4 times and its already malfunctioning. I guess you paid for what you get these days.Comment

You might try MAX100's suggestion first - that's a pretty common failure on inexpensive sights.
Bushnell doesn't have the best reputation for customer service, unfortunately. There's been a lot of concern since they bought Millett that Millett's good reputation for customer service would get dragged down by Bushnell.
This kind of response isn't that uncommon these days, but it depends on the company. Even some of the more expensive optics have long turnarounds on warranty, and some inexpensive ones have great service.
When my Mueller scope died, I had a new one back in a week. It cost $23 - $12 for their handling charge, and $11 to ship it to them with insurance and delivery confirmation.sigpic

I did try bending the connector/prongs last night, it made no differences, the reticle still blinks on and off and it times seems like it has a glowing effective. Thanks for the heads up on Millett Scope, was planning on buying a TRS-1, now I have second thoughts. You might try MAX100's suggestion first - that's a pretty common failure on inexpensive sights.

higher $ optics have problems as well.
Diappointment with IOR 1-4X Pitbull
I also read on another forum that a $2000 Schmidt & Bender scope was having problems and needed to back for repairs, to "Germany"
Good customer service should way heavy on anyones decision when purchasing an optic. That way you reward the ones who have it.
The Bushnell Trophy RD sights are good lower cost sights overall.

I called MidwayUSA and they agreed to take it back and issued me a full credit. How freakin cool is that
You gotta love MidwayUSA 90 days return policy, plus their great customer service is top notch.
