anyone try this: Leapers 5th Generation Picatinny-Style Tactical Tri-Rail Mount AK-47

Thinking about putting a scope on an AK built with a romanian kit on an NDS-3. I have a scope with the appropriate reticle, but when I mount it on a side rail, it is WAY too high. The Leapers scope mount looks interesting, but I wonder if I'll need to rezero after removing the cover for cleaning. Has anyone had any experience with this?

That mount has a channel through it so that you can still use the iron sights. That means it will put the height of the scope just about as high as the one you currently have. By the way is it a POSP? Those type of top cover scope mounts have never really been any good in my opinion. Even the new models with the set screws in the back don't work all that great.

Get one of the Belarus low profile side scope mounts and mount a standard scope on there.

There won't be a zero with the Leapers mount so you won't have to worry about resetting it after removing it for cleaning. What more could you ask for.

I am kidding but it's true.

Which mount is this? Is it one from Kalinka?

I have a scope that looks like a POSP but it is a PPO made by Kalinka.
        Thanks for your advice.

BP-02 "Made in Belarus". Make sure it says that when you get it from Kalinka.
