    What base for a Tikka?

I want to put a base and rings on a Tikka 595. Can I just buy any savage/remington base and slap it on, or does tikka/sako use a proprietary hole pattern?

You have to use a base made for the Tikka receiver.

    EGW makes them http://egw-guns.com/store/index.php?...roducts_id=296

Or contact Mac Tilton at http://www.mtguns.com/ He's a Tikka specialist.

thanks guys! looks like EGW is the way to go. I searched on snipers hide and also found a manufacturer called NEAR. They looked really pricey though.
