Got a great deal on a Vortex Razor Gen II FFP 3-18x50 34mm Scope on Amazon

Vortex Optics Razor HD Gen II First Focal Plane Riflescopes are priced really grey on Amazon today. Price dropped by $500 just today. Ran me $1199 before tax. Shipping was free. Really weird how their pricing jumps up and down like that. Did not realize the seller was OpticsPlanet until after I bought. They always take a really, really long time to ship. ETA is not until 2 weeks from now and knowing them will take longer. OpticsPlanet always takes forever to ship. But for this price I can wait. This my 2nd one of these. Putting them on my .308 AR10s. They are not light but they are feature rich to say the least. The glass is pretty great as well when compared to other scopes in the $2K+ price range you normally find this scope in.

Here is the one of these I already have.

I had hoped it would stay at the lower price long enough for others here to take advantage of it.

Nice score.. How come every time I try to buy scopes from Amazon, it?ll say it can’t ship to my area or zip code..

I hate it when that happens. Lots of sellers refuse to sell to California as a result of our punitive liability and crazy criminal laws. They don't want to find themselves being sued (or worse) because somebody misuses their product. Even if it is an extreme stretch, they just want nothing to do with this state. Hard to blame them. Sellers on Gunbroker do the same thing, regardless of whether the item being sold is legal here. Every time I find a great deal on something I want; it is from a seller that does not sell to California.

Yeah Cali and its ridiculousness, can see why other state don’t want to deal with the crap, but still.. Gunbroker is one place I’ve never browsed yet..

I?ve bought a lot of stuff off gb. Guns, parts, uppers. You can find good deals on police trade-in glocks and other items if you.are patient. These days it is mostly retailers. Used to be a lot more regular folks back in the day. So there are a lot less bargains than there used to be. It if you are persistent you can find a good deal.

Still waiting on it to ship. As predicted. OpticsPlanet has great stuff on occasionally great deals. But they take FOREVER to ship. Whatever date they promise, no matter how far out, expect it to be worse.

Finding a mount is gonna take a while as well. I know what I want and it is not in stock anywhere. Thankfully I won’t have to pay retail on that. But I will have to wait for one of the wholesale suppliers I have an account with to get it back in stock.

I don't shop on OP any more. Once I waited so long I forgot I had it on order. At the time I ordered it was supposedly in stock. There are several threads about this stuff on OP.
Friends don't let friends shop on Optics Planet.

Good luck on your mount. That's a nice looking scope. Optics availability and quality are so much better than the "good old days." One can get a lot of scope for not too much money.
There are some people that it's just not worth engaging.

It's a muzzle BRAKE, not a muzzle break. Or is your muzzle tired?

You know there is a specific "deals" forum where you can post this? It's at the bottom of all the for sale forums...
                        Poke'm with a stick!

But it isnt a deals since one cannot get this pricing anymore due to the Amazon pricing algorithm.

OP is posting about a deal he got on a scope.

Well I had intended to be posting a deal. Thank you for letting me know that exists. I accidentally posted in the right place since they pulled the rug out from under us though. That said ya never know. They could lower the price again. It seems totally random.

We will see if my patience holds up. I am super tempted to just cancel and spend the money elsewhere. But the deal was pretty damn good and I do enjoy the scope I already have like this. Would be nice not to have to have to remember a different manual of arms as to how the scope works when switching between AR10s.
