G26 dovetail Mount plate and Red dot suggestions.

Hi everyone, im 42 and just had a major heart attack and am stuck home for a bit
Need to take my mind of of things

I'd like to mount a dovetail mounting plate and pair with a nice red dot optic
Is there a tried true combo that is known to work good together? I have zero red dot knowledge.

As you can see irons all around

i only know of this option. but perhaps there are others out there...

Strike Industries is proud to introduce a revolutionary new product The Universal (Optics) Mount for GLOCK™. It has the lowest height-over-bore mount in the industry without the hassle of cutting your slide or cost of buying an aftermarket slide! We have put many hours and 1000's of rounds down range with most of the more popular red dot optics on the market with no problems whatsoever! This includes the Burris* Fast* Fire* II & III, Leupold* Delta Point* reflex sights, Docters* II & III, EoTech* MRDS*, Trijicon* RMR,* Vortex Venom and Viper, and many others. The mount itself is secured to the slide via the dove tail with 6 set screws. Two in the dovetail cut and one forward and aft of the dovetail and two more to prevent any shift. This provides a steady, sturdy and rugged mount that will repeatedly hold zero. Other mounting hardware included is 6mm, 8mm and 10mm screws (two of each) that are used to fit and secure most of the popular optics out there. (Depending on what optic you have you will need to find the screws that correlates with your particular optic. There are two special screws for Trijicon RMR. Once you secured the GUM to your slide and found the correct post ( two sets of reinforcing post included) for your optic, go ahead and mount your optic on the post and use the final two longer securing screws to secure your optic to the GUM.  NOT COMPATIBLE: G42,G43,G43x,G48

Or you could buy a new aftermarket upper already cut for an optic. There's dozens of choices out there at all different price points.

Glad you survived. Time to start changing your lifestyle and diet so it doesn't happen again.

Just send your slide off to get milled. So many good companies with fast turn arounds. Try on one and see.

Those dovetail options are?.a poor decision. Do it once, do it right.

1- Send the slide to get milled + add proper tall sights (Ameriglo GL-429s are cheap and popular)

2- buy an aftermarket slide that is already milled + add proper sights - I recommend Brownells slides, best value

My friend had me get him a DPP titanium mount for a 507k off Amazon for like less that $40. It was very high quality. Installed it and he has been shooting it a lot and had no issues. I tried to get him to direct mill his slide but he was against that. Honestly, it’s a clean set up.

Or could get a Leupold DP Micro, an RDS that mounts in the rear dovetail... like I'm selling on here...
