    Trijicon RM05 adj walking

I have an RM05 on an M&P CORE - the windage adjustment walks after about 5 or 6 rounds. I asked Trijicon and they simply want me to return it for service... has anyone been able to self service and tighten them up?

The third RM07 I had started doing this and I ended up sending it back to Brownells for a full refund, because the first two RM07 units I had went bad.

Is yours an original or is the Type 2 (Gen 2)?

IIRC Gen2 - the adj screws are turning. For example, After 5 shots at 30 ft the bullets are about 2" right. When I check the windage adjustment it has moved.

You could try putting some nail polish on the adjustment screws and see if that helps, though personally, I'd send it back while it's still under warranty.

You have your answer... why would you want to mickey mouse it and risk voiding warranty?

I've sent in optics to Trijicon, Sig Sauer, and Leupold and they all took care of me. I don't recall ever paying a dime for them to be RMA'ed. They are usually quick about it and provide a detailed record of work and testing they did. Be detailed in your description so they know it happens under recoil and can hopefully recreate it.

I returned my RM07 type 2 to Trijicon after the same problem. It was replaced with a new unit within 2 weeks. That unit failed after 300 rounds (both battery tabs broke). Replaced with Holosun 507. No further issues.
