    LaRue C-Note

April Fool's jokes, sight radius, and LaRue trolling aside, I don't think this is a bad idea... QD, precisely machined, and probably underpriced, etc... at the very least maybe a last ditch sighting option to carry for pick-ups in the zombie apocalypse.

Probably preference. I think if it was in the way because there was another workable optic, just Quick Detach it from the flat top...

Not that RMR's or irons are not workable when offset.

I'd rather QD on a $450 Aimpoint Pro, but it might be good to turn a bare flat top in a box into a shooter anytime if it was really always zeroed for more than one gun.

Like someone said in the youtube comments, it might be better with a handle on it to make the gun easier to carry.

        Oh wait...

If we had this earlier, we might have won Afghanistan

JP Rifles made something like that over 10 years ago. It was the first offset sight for 3 gun. A few years later, everybody started making offset irons.

Looks too heavy. Needs lightening cuts and it would still weigh far more than a dedicated front and rear.

I'm sure I would prefer my sighted in Magpul Pro's or whatever, but the only redeeming game changer here is the thing can be slapped on without sighting in and you hit what you are aiming at quick like. Quick and dirty. IMHO.

I'm sure someone has done something similar. There is nothing new under the sun. No game changers span two generations.

It is not solid underneath. 7 ounces. About 4 ounces more than a LaRue Troy BUS set (3.1 ounces) and about 6 ounces lighter than a Aimpoint Pro in a GDI QD mount (13.3 ounces).

I can buy a used cerro forge sight handle on eBay and a Magpul front sight for a total of just over $100.

I appreciate LaRue but this gadget doesn?t appeal to me.

Yeah, I just thought it was interesting, though nitch usages IMO.

Does anyone make a QD lever carry handle?
