I have mine mounted on my 10 22 build for steel challenge. I went with the aaa battery so I could always find a battery. Had it just shy of 3 years and the battery died Saturday. Didn’t have a backup battery so I pulled one from my Howard Lights and off we went. Very happy with it.

Had mine on a Ruger PC carbine for almost five years.
Then the ability to control the intensity failed, I either had full bright or barely visable or invisible. RMA'd it a few weeks ago and waiting to see what they will do for me. I was barely still in the five year warranty and sent them a copy of the receipt.

I found that replacing the battery and making sure the connections are good helps. I did experience this but it corrected itself when I cleaned the terminals. Mine is only 3 years old though.

Oh yeah I tried brand new batteries all that. left it without a battery all night to see if it would reset. Still waiting on SIG for now.

If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.

Warranty was still good on my return, they just shipped me a new one. There was a delay as they had to wait for a new shipment.

Interesting, I have 2 Romeo XDR's & they have been solid. 1 has been swimming, muding, & I never shut it off.

I took 3 to a summer class in WY. All bought NIB at national brand stores, at different times, with different lot numbers. All subjected to some fog and light rain during other training.

At this training, all 3 had enough fogging and moisture incursion during dry, warm, daytime conditions that I had to wipe them off to even see through them.

I reached out to Sig, and they never bothered to respond whatsoever. I’ll never buy a Sig optic again. Their upper tier products may be trustworthy, but I’m done begging companies to take my money for ignoring me, when the market is saturated with companies that actually care about us.

                          Sig doesn’t.

Fogging on the outside? It's impossible to stop things that happen with the weather. They're sealed and filled with inert gas to stop internal fogging.

Should of tried rain x or some kind of glasses fog cleaner.
