Kimber 1911 (target) needs red dot

I have a current production Kimber 1911 Target (9mm) which is a fairly standard 1911 but with an adjustable rear sight.
So the slide rear is flattened a bit for the sight.
Is there a quick and easy way to mount any dot sight?

I am not sure I want to go this way so cheap is good, for now.

Least expensive is probably something like this EGW mount that replaces your rear sight since you don't have a light rail on that model. You'll have to try to see what's available for the optic you want to run. https://www.egwguns.com/pistol-and-r...er/adjustable/

There used to be some grip mounts that gave you a weaver rail; you just swapped out the right grip, you might be able to find one. The totally mickey mouse way, which might work with limited success, would be to get a light rail adapter off amazon and then add a light rail to optic mount to that.

although I suppose there are a few tanks which I owe an apology to for that remark"

Turn it into a pseudo race gun?

UM Tactical has created the UM3(X) Universal Sight Mount. The three (3) piece detent system now allows our system to work with previously unsupported firearms, these firearms have the lugs milled through on the bottom of the rail. The UM3(X) has a unique detent designed to accomodate the difference. Although there are many sight mounts that exist, the UM3X is unique. It can be mounted or removed from your firearm in under 30 seconds without the use of tools or gunsmithing. Once your optic has been sighted in, the mount can be taken on and off and will still hold zero! This mount allows you to not only mount any optic on any pistol but to utilize our UMH3 holster on any pistol too. This high quality mount is constructed from CNC machined aluminum and is finished in Mil-Spec Type III anodizing.
