What offset RMR mounts does the military use?

You can pretty much find a thousand discussions about what optics, rifles, stocks, sights are issued and by which brand of service right down to the specific unit. But I have never been able to find out what offset RMR mount is being used by various units on their scoped rifles. Sure, when it is on top of an ACOG that's pretty simple. But I mean what mount is being used when it is mounted on the rail or receiver at a 45?

Why am I asking? 75% curiosity. 75% getting my clone on. Got a URGI and just wondering what the "proper" mount is. If it turns out to be something that sucks I'll just use what I've got. Might do that even if it is awesome. But curiosity has the best of me.

Offset red dot mounts are not issued, at least on Army side, so if you see any, they’re personal purchases or bought with the unit’s GPC.

Wonder if that will change as the LPVO becomes officially adopted as an ACOG replacement?

Given requisition history, if Sig starts making an offset mount then...

I am actually surprised Sig won. Trijicon clearly dropped the ball. They already had an "in" since they already had the ACOG contract. Must have tried to hang into that too tight.

I had hoped the CREDO would be my next LPVO but just read they have clarity issues at full power. Which is where it would mostly sit.

I get great dealer pricing on Trijicon stuff and EoTech stuff. So maybe the EoTech LPVO will be my next LPVO? I just wish it were "daylight bright".

Sadly my suppliers all have crappy pricing on Vortex. And they don't really offer much else in terms of mid-high end optics brands. Nothing that jumped out at me anyway. I hate paying retail when I can save $300-400 on something like this. That's nothing to sneeze at.

Merit and requirements play only a small part in the requisition process.

As you can see, the Sig sales team has a chummy relationship with the key decision makers.

Sig figured it out, sell to the military for nothing and advertise the **** out of the contract while paying youtube influencers to say their stuff is the best, not going to point out anyone.... Mike Glover and GBRS group. Then you get people who think the P320 is the greatest because the military uses it. Then you just make a new slide color or gold trigger every month and people lose their minds. I will admit they knocked it out of the park with that one, the marketing I mean not the gun.

                David gets it.

Run the best parts you can find/afford. Who cares what the military runs. Milspec isn’t always the highest of quality.

I hear ya. But when you have a TON of rifles a couple are gonna be at the very least "clone-ish". I have a couple of those. Hence my question. Worse problems to have to be sure.

That said given the cost I am researching the heck out of this stuff before I buy it. As it turns out a lot of the high-end civilian stuff is crap too. Just because it costs a fortune does not mean it is worth a damn. Especially when it comes to optics. A fact I have discovered more than once. Finding something I'm gonna be happy with is going to be tough when it comes to an LPVO. Or at least it has to date. FFP is never daylight bright. SFP usually isn't either even though fans of a particular scope will say that it is when it isn't. When it is daylight bright the reticle is useless or it has some other flaw I can't get past. And in most cases, my suppliers don't carry it so I have to pay retail. Which is not my favorite thing to do...ever. Not if there actually is something as good or better that I could get wholesale...just did not know it would be better.

There are several daylight bright LPVOs, even some FFP. You should watch those supersetca guys on YouTube.

LOL, have been. Have yet to find one I like, that my suppliers carry, and that is in the right price range. Plus every time someone says something is daylight bright I find a video or article explaining why it is not. So far there is always some deal breaking thing about what I've found. It is not that I am being cheap either. I just don't want it to cost as much as a new car.

But I am in no hurry. Got plenty of guns to keep me busy until I find the right one.
