Red dots: 2moa vs 3.5moa for PCC

For a 9mm PCC would you run a 2 or 3.5moa red dot?

If you have the 'stigma you probably won't notice much of a difference.

You have to be able to match POA and POI. With 2 moa at 100 yards I put it at the top of the dot.

That gives me a 12 inch drop at 140, 10 inches below my 100 yard zero with CCI SV.

Beyond that you need a good scope.

I use 2MOA dots on the PCC and other rifles, some have a big circle around the dot. Rifles point much easier on target and is also much more stable shooting offhand. In addition the accuracy expectation is also higher than on pistols. A smaller dot gives you a bit more precision and with a rifle it is easier to find the dot and keep on target.

They claim 2 or 3 moa for dots, but that tends to be on the lowest settings, in bright light I find that I need to turn up the dot and the actual size do increase. Typically it feels like a 2 moa dot covers half a 10” plate at 100yds in bright light. This is with green and red, though green seems less likely to swell.

Not many people use it but I can see why he would. You have precision but if you want a bigger dot, just dial it up. EOTech gets much brighter than anything else out there.

He's definitely not running that setup anymore. Here's his nationals video. https://youtu.be/UD350Owkn7k

I don't shoot PCC, but I do shoot Carry Optics. I don't think there's much of a difference between 2.0 & 3.5 dot. I use the SRO with a 5 MOA dot and bought another used 2.5 SRO. I can't tell much of a difference....but then I'm a Super Senior shooter with Super Senior eyes!

                            I think it is a Romeo3max.
