Spotting Scope for 200-300 Yards

What is recommended for that range and reasonably priced i.e. under $500 if possible?


My buddy bought some piece of junk from Big5 for ~ $100 and you can't even see .308 holes out to 100 yards....

Konus Konuspot 80 will get the job done.. you're pushing it at 300 yds though. Conditions have to be perfect.

So I have kind of been narrowing it down to the Konus 80, Bushnell Spacemaster 20x45 or a couple of Nikon Prostaff 20x60x82 models.

What would serve me the best?

Thanks for the link, I too have used the search for this subject and you have to enter Keywords so many ways to get any results. I also have narrowed it to the Konus 80 and maybe some others. Anywhere in SoCal where I can look through a few, other than Bass Pro and Fowlers ? OC is where I am.
