Leupold Micro Red Dot

I've read some articles about this red dot that were a bit negative. It's small though and I believe currently on sale. The size makes it attractive. Does anyone have actual experience with the unit?

I've been contemplating getting one (for the helluvit)... I'd never, ever use it on a carry gun, or any other defense gun (other than possibly a stashed away access gun in the house somewhere- maybe).

I like the concept, but after watching moondog's vid I'm dismayed by the mounting method. Set screws? Seriously? That might be a deal killer.

If the mounting plate/dovetail pressed into slide like a normal rear sight, I'd have more confidence. Why didn't they do it that way? that plus set screws would inspire more confidence (for me)

I haven't researched enough to know if the mounting method caused problems for anyone... maybe it's a non-issue but just seems goofy.

I thought about the Leupold. Hard pass. Not reliable enough. Battlewerx did 8 Glock slides for me. My dot is the Holosun 508T.

Good choice... I have a 507K-GR on B&T MKII

I really like the concept of the Leopold micro dot - but until/unless they have a better mounting solution, Holosun is what I'd choose.
