For those that own an MP5k/SP5k clone, you should know the problem of optic mounts has always been an issue due to the close proximity of the charging handle to where the front optic mounting position is.
Running the charging handle too fast with your thumb on the rear of the charging handle can cause the dreadful pinch with the optic rail. MFI remedied this issue slightly with their MP5k specific optic mount. They slanted the front end of the rail to make it as low profile as they possibly could. This assists with clearance when pulling the charging handle to the rear and even when dropping the charging handle forward, whether that be via "HK SLAP" or simply dropping it with your thumb. While there is no perfect solution to this issue as the front clamping point for the optic rail is located where it is, I found that the mount still does a pretty good job of reducing the chances of pinching.
The clamping method is what you'd expect from MFI quality and locks up well with my Century Arms/MKE AP5k.
Note: Compensation was provided for this review. Regardless, the mount is still of excellent quality.
