Leupold's best vs. Sig Sauer Romeo Pro 1

I just bought the slide and the Romeo Pro is an easy fit. What are the pros and cons between the two?

Dpp. Easier to find battery (2032 vs 1632)

    Here’s a comparison

And look up Sage dynamics vids for each dot as well. Good starting points on the features of each.

I’d take a dpp. Window is nice and the lifetime warranty. I’ve read many mixed reviews on the sig

Also sig has so many shills selling their products it’s quite tough to get honest reviews by YouTube and social media. Hit forums up and see what people have written about them.

If it’s not hard/duty type use, and just range blasting, you’re fine with either. Get the cheaper one. Spend money on ammo.

I like R1P because it is reliable and the shroud makes it durable too. I never looked into the DPP but heard some failures and cracking on this forum.

Romeo has rear sights built in to the rear of the dot should co witness with standard height sights (dpp is thicker and probably won’t). Dpp has shorter battery life. Dpp has much larger window.

Is R1P available anywhere? I haven't been able to find a source for a new one. The ideal would be a store purchase in Orange County, but I am willing to go the mail path so long as the seller actually has one in stock.

I have both. If your slide natively fits either, I assume it's a Sig P320?

DPP Pros: much larger, higher window. DPP Cons: thick deck height so would require really high iron sights. Single button for increase and decrease level, and your finger covers the emitter when pressing the button so difficult to adjust level.

R1P Pros: separate buttons for up and down light level on side. Allows good low cowitness with Sig suppressor height iron sights (on P320 slide). R1P Cons: lower, wider window.

Here's a site that currently has the R1P 6moa black in stock. I've purchased a number of items from them in the past.

So depends on what you want. I'd prefer the DPP for the larger window if it's mainly for a range/competition gun and BUIS are not needed. I'd prefer the R1P if I need BUIS and easy light level changing on the run.

              I'm putting in on a Sig 229.
