AR 458 Socom Pistol?

Trying to decide which direction to go in, Red Dot or 1-4 power scope for my .458 Socom Pistol.
I have been told they eat scopes due to heavy recoil. Anyone here use Red-Dots on their AR pistols?

My suggestion would be a red dot.

I've got one a vortex on my ar pistol but its 556. .458 sounds fun tho.

What kind of brace are you using? The hard ones seem like they would hurt and the soft ones seem like they would fold up too easily.
