mounting a reddot or eotech on or above a scope

I'm trying to figure out a practical way to mount both my eoTech and scope to my Flattop. So I can use the scope and have the eotech mounted above it. anybody got any ideas?

I would not recommend an EoTech an Doc Optics or Aimpoint H1.

Badger, ARMS, and other makers make thinks that will work.

I see you are local to us. If I can be of any help feel free to ask.

My "WTF?" comes from your idea to point an EOTech. I Docter or T-1 I can understand, but a big, heavy EOTech?

Yeah, between the size, weight, and height, the Eotech's really not the best bet for mounting on top of or beside a scope.

Most people use mini red dots (Burris Fastfire or similar) or T1 Micro for this type of thing.

Another and easier option is to just get the 3x/4x magnifier for your EOTech.

Other than that, I'm not a big fan of mounting a dot on top of a LR scope, other than using it as a spotter. If mounting to an AR, look at putting a dot like the JPoint or Docter on to a canted mount like this:

Much cleaner, more compact and easy to pick-up either.

Bigdogs set up is the way to go. You want your red dot as close to the barrel as you can get it. Shoot your scope then cant the gun and the red dot comes up for an easy site picture. Mounting to the scope on top or the side isn't nearly as good.
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.
