Scope vs red dot

If you are not willing to get another scope I would scope the 5.56 and red dot the 300 blk. The effective range for 300blk is much shorter than 5.56. Personally, I have 1-6x scopes on all of my carbines (300blk and 5.56) and dots on all of my SBRs (300blk, 5.56, and 7.62). My bullpups all have fixed 4x prism scopes (Tavor SAR, Steyr AUG, and FS2000).The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money. -
At that age, your dots are gonna look like starfish so might as well go with an etched reticle in a scope or prismComment
