Optic for Model-41, Aimpoint T-1 maybe?

I've got a new S&W Model-41 with the 7-inch bbl that is drilled and threaded for a sight.

Can anyone recommend a good red or green dot sight and mount? I've been looking at the Aimpoint T-1 but wanted to see what other M41 owners prefer before I plunk down some change. I guess I would like medium to high end optic.

I would like to be able to hunt rabbit and squirrel with this pistol.

Take a look at the JPoint/Fast Fire/Docter sights, as well. The fastfire is the most reasonably priced and has lots of mounts.

You wouldn't need NV, so an H-1 would do you well. If you can afford it, the AP Micros are excellent.

The other ones are like the Doctor are very nice but are not even close to being as strong as the Aimpoint. As uclaplinker said you will not need NV so I would also recommend the H1 over the T1.

Looks likes its an H1 for the 41.

Can you guys recommend a mount? I have the 7-inch bbl and it has 4 mounting screws on top from the factory.
