    Airgun scope on a .22lr ?

Can you use an airgun scope for a highpower air rifle on a 10/22 ? I know the other way around is not appropriate.

I have one on my 10/22. It was recommended at the time from some folks over at rimfirecentral.com when I purchased the rifle about 7 yrs ago. It is a Simmons Pro-Air 4x12x40 AO. It has been a good scope for me - made in the Phillipines and was on sale at the time for about $120. Unfortunately I don't think they make this any longer.

Betraying my age here, but the old Beeman Blue Ring airgun scopes were even suited for belted magnums way back when. I've no idea how suitable the more recent scopes are, but just a little anecdote from yesteryear.
