    Rangefinders ?

Greeting everyone! Sorry if this is a redundant question, but I have not had any luck with the search.
I'm currently looking into buying a rangefinder. There are a lot of nice ones out there. Any suggestion? Right now I'm liking the Leupold RX-1000 TBR.

Thank you for your time and comments.

It kinda sorta depends on what you want to do with it and how much you want to spend.

One of the best bangs for the buck are Leica 1200 (either CRF or LRF).

One of the best performing ones is Swarovski Laser Guide.

The Leica 1200 is widely considered the best general purpose rangefinder, though lots of people like the Swarovski too.

For a budget rangefinder, the Bushnell YP 800 was the popular pick last time I researched them.

The Leupolds don't get very good reviews. I'm a Leupold fan, but I wouldn't buy one of their rangefinders.

Try Doug at Cameraland NY. He has good prices for the CRF 900.

I have the RX IV model, they don't get great reviews because you can't get 1500 yard readings from them, actually, 900-1000 is about max. Other than that, I like the size weight, and utility of the RX IV.

I've heard a lot of good things about Bushnell's 1500 series. Been told their the best bang for the buck. I think you can get them for $400.

Matter of fact I've heard enough good about them, I plan on buying one in the next couple of months. If you haven't bought one by then I'll let you know how it works out.

You guys are mistaken not including the Zeiss 8x26 PRF in this conversation. Better optics and performance than any Leica, outstanding ergonomic design, smaller and less weight than the Swav, MAP is $699, so it's cheaper too. It is a SWEET LRF and you have to see to appreciate. I've hit 1425 yards on a hay barn while holding by hand, it's a bonafide 1500 yard laser.
