    Sig Bdx optics

    Hi

Anyone with personal experience with the sig Bdx optics system for target shooting at 200-300 yds.

How does it compensate for wind?

I have the BDX range finder, but not a Sig BDX scope. When you have both, the range finder will send the range data to the scope. There should be video out that shows an illuminated reticle at a given distance.

With regard to wind, the range finder links with your smart phone via an app, and you can include several ballistic profiles for different ammo. You can manually modify things like wind real time.

That gets feed to the ranger finder and then the scope if you have one. The range finder translates a given wind, say 5 mph into the correct hold at a specific distance. Since I don’t have a Sig scope I manually hold x mils for wind and dial the correct elevation.

Not sure if a Sig scope will automatically take the wind hold and adjust the reticle for both wind and elevation or just elevation. But it’s a pretty slick setup, if you like everything else about the scope and reticle. Should you not like Sig scopes, the range finder alone is great to have.

Thanks for the feedback. I’d get the whole setup which puts red dots based on bullet drop and wind as well.
