      Maybe a picture will help. It should be the same across the board. + battery side down. Windage and elevation adjusts in the same direction. At least with the 509 and 510. I don't have the 503 so I can't tell you with certainty.

                  You sure you got a real Holosun not one of those airsoft clones? The reversed windage and elevation is kinda a big red flag. Reach out to Holosun and confirm the serial #.

                      Did you get it from Amazon or EBAY? There is a chance this is counterfeit? I have 6 509T and this seems weird.

                                      The drawing in the manual looked weird to me and it *felt* like I was putting it in upside down. I was not. It just looked that way to me because of the crappy picture.

                                      As for the windage/elevation... confusing point of aim with bullet direction? Bullet goes left, aim goes right?

                                          On optics the directional arrows tell you the direction you wish to move your point of impact.

                                              Put the battery with the + side down, the pictures in there manuals were done by idiots.
                                              The Win/Ele the "R/U" that you see is regarding point of impact, not which direction the dot moves.
