Weaver V-series 1-3 power scope

Looks like a nice scope for an AR-15. Does anyone have one or know anything about it?

What would the best mounting option be for it?

By now you should know the answer to 2: LaRue.

Many people used this in 3-gun as a cheap alternative to short dots, but I see less of them now. It works.

I dont support laRue products as of now.

But there were plenty of budget alternatives here.

It's the lightest? low variable power scope. And Weaver is a solid brand. However, I picked a 30mm scope over this Weaver scope since it takes me noticeably longer time to acquire a sight picture with a 1-inch tube at very close range.
