Whaqt are you going to use the gun for? If you are going hunting you want a different scope than if you are a long range target shooter.

        definately for hunting.
it would be for blacktail deer at fairly extended ranges, and also for piggies. Im also bear hunting this year as well,
so its for hunting and typically canyon to canyon shots.
its basically replacing my BAR 7 mag.

Get the Nikon Monarch 2.5-10. That should fit the bill nicely for what you want. Stay away from Leupys . . . their present day QC is poor at best.

I'm only smiling at you while you talk to me because it's hilarious that you really think I give a crap about you.

As I've gotten older I thought I was gaining patience, then I realized I simply don't give a crap.

              This.

The QC is fine and so is the customer service.

You're addy says Oregon . . . so I can only attribute this statement to supporting your local economy. Anyone who uses rifle scopes for more than the once a year hunting trib will plainly tell you that the modern Leupold is not 1/2 the scope the Leupold of 20, hell even 10 years ago was.

The above-mentioned Nikons will fit the bill nicely.

Talley make some great looking one pice mounts/ rings and you can get a package deal on a Burris Ball istic Plex 3x9x40 with ether a Garmen GPS, Burris 10x binoculars or a $50.00 rebate.
I have both on my Weatherby MK V in 300 WM and love them.

I have a SAKO Finnsport in 300wm my scope is a Leupold Vari X 2c 3x9x40 with CPC Reticle that I've taken successful 625 yard shots at a mule deer doe in Colorado that hung with her nose dragging the floor of the meat processing locker right along with 6x & 7x mule deer bucks.Made a big error that day when I mentioned to a group of hunters the vicinity of my success, I had inadvertantly discovered a migration route used by elk and mule deer. The next year I went to the area to find every type of camper,mh, trailer, tent trailers & tents had filled the area .
