Here is my question to you all. What is the best you have looked through? Zeiss 15x45, Minox 15x58 BD ED, or the Vortex 15x50. I have about 1000.00 to spend on some nice 15x binos. I already have 10x40 Zeiss. I like Zeiss but I don't know about the field of view and need help between the three. I just want to know if any of you have looked through the minox or vortex in these powers. I already have the specs. but I need your advise please HELP.

Help on high power binos

I have a pair of Vortex Kaibabs HD in 18x56 and I like them. Of course they must be mounted on a tripod to be useful but they are quite nice. I haven't looked through any other high-powered binos so I can't compare. I'd imagine the more pricey options like Zeiss are clearer, it's just a question if you need that much clarity or not. For hunting, I've spotted elk and deer about a mile away and they are great for long-distance glassing. For target shooting, you can spot impacts on steel out to at least 650, so I personally use them in place of a compact spotter.Comment

Steiner 15x56 HXHere is my question to you all. What is the best you have looked through? Zeiss 15x45, Minox 15x58 BD ED, or the Vortex 15x50. I have about 1000.00 to spend on some nice 15x binos. Heirloom warranty - no receipt needed.
Super bright, fast focus and top tier clarity. Oh, and if you shop around they will be under a grand, not by too much but under.
I've looked through Vortex and found them wanting, they aren't as clear out to the edges as the Steiners. Zeiss are comparable but just. The only thing about the Steiners is that I wish they had a tripod threaded attachment point but its easy enough to rectify.
There is a difference between lifetime and heirloom warranties. Lifetime i for the original purchaser, heirloom is even when passed onto family after you are long gone.
I've had the need to get a pair of Steiners (different mag) repaired not because of a defect other than carelessness. A sharp piece of granite will do some damage. Fixed and returned at no cost to me in record time.Let Go of the Status Quo!
Don't worry, it will never pass...How in the hell did that pass?
