Need Help Please W/ Aimpoint 3x Mag.

I just recieved a Aimpoint 3x magnifier off ebay today. The guy swears its a real Aimpoint but didnt have the box and had only the manual and a crappy mount. My question is how can I tell if its real, I cant seem to find a serial # anywhere. I dont know if there is a difference in the way look by what year they came out. Im just worried I might have gotten a fake, because I know there is alot of fakes out there that look real. I will call aimpoint on monday when they open, but untill then I would like your opinions.

That link helped alot and sent the guy a email and he said he bought from another guy that told him it was real. I don't really believe him and I just think he was trying to make a quick buck. That's why I like dealing mostly with people on calguns. Everyone hear seems to me very honest atleast from the people I have dealt with so far. I think I'm going to be able to get my money back. So If anyone has a aimpoint 3x mag. Let me know. Thanks again calgunners.
