version 1 eotech magnifier work with eotech sites with 7mm base?

Just as the question states...

If I have an eotech 517 w/ 7mm base, can I use the original eotech magnifier with FTS mount? If not, what mount can I use?

Yes, it's made for the models with integral risers.

The Original one is made for models with a riser? So you can't use the original magnifier with all the other non raised sites? That doesn't make sense...

The new one has the option to add a riser to accomodate the sites that do...

You could use it with the non-riser models like the 512, 552, etc. but because the alignment is slightly off, you'll see the top hood of the EOTech through the magnified view.
