    Holosun 507c V2 blink

I thought I would ask here before contacting Holosun. I have the subject optic. The reticle blinks once about every 3 seconds. I changed the battery with no improvement. If I turn it off, then on it will stay on but in a few minutes I check it and it goes to the "blink" mode.
I do not see any reference to this blink pattern in the manual.
    TIA.

It might be in the auto brightness mode. Try changing it to the manual brightness mode. Press and hold the + button for about 5 seconds.

Hi, this is my first post as well as my first ar-15 with an optic.

I purchased a brand new Holosun HS510c and installed brand new Energizer batteries, this optic is fresh out the box.

The problem that I am having is the reticle is blinking slowly. The reticle does not continuously stay on, the circle dot reticle blinks or turns off and on every 3 seconds.

This happens with manual mode and automatic mode.

I have found no information regarding this problem in the manual or on any online forum.

      Can anyone please help?
Is this normal behavior for a new Holosun RDS sight?

      Edit.
Nevermind I'm a dumbass, I had the battery on backwards.
      Carry on

this is good info. I always expected an electronic item to not work if the battery is reversed. I never took into consideration that the solar panels are powering the unit. This will definitely save a lot of headache down the line.

          Thanks for posting.
