Opinions on Meopta Artemis 2000 Rifle Scope

Thinking about getting a Meopta Artemis 2000 Rifle Scope 6x42mm for either my Mauser or a 10/22 build.

Heard anything about this brand? How would it compare to the 6x42 Leupold scope? About the same price, is it the same level of quality?

    Thanks,
    Jason

No one? Seriously? Maybe I'd be better off getting a Leupold?

      Hi Jason,
I have one (6x42) and the glass is better than my Mk 4 MRT. The turrets are small and therefore less convenient, and because the tube is of steel construction it is slightly heavy for it's size. The resolution is very good for a scope in it's price range and I would by another if needed.

Hope that helps, if we are ever at RRGC at the same time I'll let you use it if you like.

        Thanks for the info Wooger.

Did you mail order yours? If not, what store did you get it at? I may want to inspect it personally in-store

The MeOpta have very good glass and are well made. The one think I do not really like is how think the Reticle is on them. As for the Leupold they are really nice also the glass is not as nice but the reticle is thin and they are made here in the state so if you did have an issue it would not have to go over seas.

If we can be of help in getting you a MeOpta or any scope feel free to ask.

Thanks CSGW. The rifle I was thinking of scoping had some issues when I cycled a few rounds through it.

I'm going to take it to the range and see how it preforms before I scope it.
