    Trijicon customer service time

Creating this thread to show my recent Trijicon experience.

I'm a huge fan of Trijicon and I really dislike the standard plastic sights on Glocks. My old Glock had Trijicons, but they are more than 10 years old and quite faded by now. Tritium gas has a half life of 12 years so after 10+ years, it's a good idea to replace the lamps.

Trijicon does this by sending in the slide and they replace only the glass lamps. It's $57 for all three.

I sent it in before Christmas and I'm still waiting to get it back! I will update when they finally send it back.

I get it, Covid, the holidays, the gun buying frenzy, sunspots, etc, but two months and still waiting?

I'm not really complaining, just posting this to let everyone know, Trijicon customer service is taking a very long time these days.

Wow. Did they give you any kind of estimated time frame for turn around before you sent them in?

Of course this ^ statement is BS.

I have a number of Trijicon products. I judge their CS to be excellent. I've used them three times over 12 years.

Frankly, your cheapo $100 night sights may not get priority over a $2000 military sight that needs to get back into service.

Even when there is no panic buying taking place, it sometimes takes a few weeks to turn things around with most vendors, depending on how busy they are.

I really doubt they have people waiting around at a bench for your night sites to come in so they can fix them immediately.

      Chill or buy new sights.

sigpicC'mon man, shouldn't we ban Democracks from Cal-Guns? Or at least send them to re-education camps.

Trijicon fixed some of my optics this year, turnaround was about a week. They are extremely fast right now in my experience.

Everyone’s customer service is taking longer than normal. They all let you know before you order or send something in. It’s on almost all of their websites.

OSS Suppressors, Elcan/Raytheon, Trijicon, HK, BE Meyers, Daniel Defense, Knights Armament and Noveske which are top brands all have additional wait times and have had those wait times for some time. I know I have items from all of these brands and have purchased items recently. Maybe an extra 7-10 wait on some items. Mail is moving fast again or it is here. Customer service from Tennebrex is outstanding and coming from Canada only took 8 days snail Mail.

I just waited an extra week for a Geissele product to come in straight from Geissele. It’s out of stock on their website and has been for months and they found 2 laying around when I called and I bought both.

Waiting a couple extra weeks is nothing. Not enough to complain about. I waited 9 months for a part from the UK for my Land Rover. It happens and life goes on. A lot of folks don’t care.

I have actually gotten rid of all my Trijicon products and moved on and upgraded to items from BE Meyers and Elcan/Ratheon.

Oh yeah, they did. They said 8 to 10 weeks so I'm not surprised.

Well ok I'm complaining a little bit! But consider it a very mild complaint because they did tell me. I will certainly continue to buy and recommend Trijicon sights. If my gun takes a couple of months to refresh every decade, it's not that bad.

Of course, I wouldn't want it to.

I'm sure. And there must be all kinds of certifications and procedures around handling tritium.

If I had to pay $57 and give them my slides for over 2 months with no ETA, I'd rather just buy new sights.

The set is about $120, and the last time I bought Trijcons (on my other Glock) I also sent in the slide to have them install it, so it would have worked out the same way.

I'm ok waiting, just letting everyone know it's a LONG wait these days. Somewhere in between the wait for my dose of the vaccine and waiting for SCOTUS to rule on a 2A case.

                      Ok, I'll say it:

Hey guys, Trijicon is taking several months to do any kind of service so plan accordingly.

I still like Trijicon. It's the only sight I want on my Glock.

                        My experience (2015-2017):

ACOG TA31 lost zero - 8 weeks repair time
TR24 broken erector - 7 weeks repair time
RMR battery contact loss - 4 weeks repair time

Yes it is! I can't imagine they make any money doing this.

Anyway, I got my slide back last week, so from New Years to shipping it back was about 6 weeks, which is not terrible, and I'm happy to have it back.

I had Trijicon relamp all three of my tritium vials on my Sig P232 slide. Luckily I got it done pre-covid. They returned it in about 10 days, but when I went to the range to zero the sights, I found out they polished the rear sight way too much. Once I loosened the set screw, I could push the rear sight off the slide with my index finger.

I called Trijicon, they got me a manager, who apologized and asked me to send the slide back. I can't remember if they paid for the shipping or if I did. Once tracking showed it arrived, it took them 2 weeks to ship it back to me. Another trip to the range and when I loosened the set screw, there was plenty of pressure on the rear sight for me to use my sight pusher to zero the sights. Trijicon fixed it perfectly and very quickly.

I would imagine that if I had the same issue now during covid times, it would take at least 2 months for them to fix it. But then again, I would have been happy with a 2 month wait with the quality of the work they did once I sent the slide back.
